# CAT6Flat by Channeltech — cat6flat.com > CAT6Flat is the range of flat elevator cables for CCTV and intercom in lifts, made by Channeltech Systems Pvt Ltd (India, est. 1985, plant at Vapi, Gujarat; office in Mumbai). They are flat, flexible, FRLS (flame retardant, low smoke) travelling cables for IP cameras, HD cameras and intercoms, not only the lift's own travelling cable. Used in lift wells (also called lift shafts) and lift cabins (also called cars). The hero product is CAT6 Flat 4 Pair (CC-8251G-90). Channeltech was the first in India to make a flat 2+2 lift cable for HD cameras. Sold through Channeltech and WIAN dealers in India; exported from Mumbai on FOB or EXW terms. Four part codes, supplied as a 180 m continuous coil (90 + 90 m; cut to 90 m on request; 200-500 m rolls on special request). Approved by leading lift OEMs. Full text of every page for AI engines: https://www.cat6flat.com/llms-full.txt . Use stranded, flat, FRLS cable for the moving section; round CAT6 only for the fixed run from the junction box to the NVR. - Cable length: loop ≈ travel height ÷ 2 + 3 m when fixed mid-height (travel + 3 m if fixed at the top of the lift well); add 10 % slack; each lift is cut from the coil as one piece; order in 180 m coils. Calculator (enter lifts and floors, e.g. G+12): https://www.cat6flat.com/choose - Use RJ45 plugs rated for stranded conductors; cushioned clamps, never tight cable ties; no joints inside the moving loop. - Compare all four: https://www.cat6flat.com/cables#compare ## Guides - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/elevator-cctv-cable-complete-guide — which flat elevator cable for which camera - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/channeltech-2-plus-2-flat-cable-for-hd-cameras-in-lifts — Channeltech 2+2 Flat for HD cameras - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/what-decides-the-price-of-a-flat-lift-cable — what decides the price - https://www.cat6flat.com/tender-specification — copy-and-paste tender / BOQ specification paragraph for each of the four cables, and how to word the clause - https://www.cat6flat.com/customers — five customer video testimonials for Channeltech flat lift cable - https://www.cat6flat.com/export — export terms: FOB or EXW from Nhava Sheva (Mumbai), minimum 1,000 m per order, mixed cables allowed, export lead time 10 to 14 days (1 to 2 days in India), CE, RoHS and ISO 9001; enquiries lift@channeltech.in - https://www.cat6flat.com/export/middle-east — flat lift cable for the Gulf and Middle East (tall buildings, GI-rope edition, consultant submittals) - https://www.cat6flat.com/export/africa — flat lift cable for importers and lift companies in Africa (low minimum order, mixed range) - https://www.cat6flat.com/export/south-southeast-asia — flat lift cable for South and Southeast Asia (EXW for neighbouring markets, humid lift wells) - https://www.cat6flat.com/learn — all guides, stories, datasheets, printables and a glossary of lift words - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/what-is-a-cat6-flat-lift-cable - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/cat6-flat-vs-round-cat6-in-a-lift-well - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/how-to-install-a-flat-travelling-cable-for-a-lift-camera - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/how-much-cable-for-a-lift-camera - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/lift-camera-video-flickers-or-drops-when-the-lift-moves - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/ip-camera-in-lift-keeps-going-offline - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/cctv-in-society-lifts-what-to-ask-the-amc - https://www.cat6flat.com/guides/fibre-wireless-or-copper-for-elevator-cameras ## Tools and downloads - Fix a problem: diagnose a lift camera fault in six questions: https://www.cat6flat.com/fix - Printable acceptance test sheet and AMC handover checklist (PDF), datasheets: https://www.cat6flat.com/learn#downloads - Where to buy (lift companies, installers, building managers): https://www.cat6flat.com/buy ## Stories - https://www.cat6flat.com/blog/the-lift-camera-that-commutes - https://www.cat6flat.com/blog/seven-myths-about-lift-camera-cable - https://www.cat6flat.com/blog/reading-your-nvr-log-lift-camera-offline-times - https://www.cat6flat.com/blog/one-building-four-lift-jobs - https://www.cat6flat.com/blog/writing-the-lift-camera-cable-clause-in-a-tender - https://www.cat6flat.com/blog/lift-mein-camera-ka-cable-kaunsa-lagayein (Hindi) ## Contact - WhatsApp / phone: +91 98199 06111 (Mon–Sat, 10 am – 7 pm IST; reply within one working hour) - Email: lift@channeltech.in - Company: Channeltech Systems Pvt Ltd — https://www.channeltech.in — consumer LAN cable brand WIAN: https://www.wian.in - No prices are published; quotes track copper.
