Lift intercom and emergency telephone cable
Every passenger lift needs a way for a trapped passenger to talk to someone. That circuit is the one thing in the shaft that must keep working when everything else has failed, which is why lift companies prefer it on its own cable.
Voice and signalling only — not for IP cameras.
Alternative: CAT6 Flat — 4 Pair · CC-8251G-90The cable
Use CC-4251G-90, the CAT6 Flat 2 Pair. Two multi-strand copper twisted pairs in a soft-grade FRLS PVC flat jacket, grey, in 90 m coil pairs. The pairs are built to CAT6 twist practice, which keeps voice clean and rejects the drive noise that makes cheap intercom cable hum.
Why not share the camera cable
You can dedicate one pair of the 4-pair cable to the intercom, and some installers do. The argument against is simple: if the camera cable is damaged or disconnected for maintenance, the emergency phone goes with it. Separate cables mean separate failures.
Termination
The strands are fine. Use ferrules or screw terminals, and never push bare strands into a spring clamp designed for solid core.
