Flat lift cable for importers and lift companies in Africa
A low minimum order and one part code per cable make it practical to stock lift CCTV cable for the local lift and security trade. Channeltech ships from Mumbai on FOB or EXW terms.
Typical buyers: importers and stockists, lift companies and CCTV integrators.
Start small, mix the range
The minimum export order is 1,000 m, about six 180 m coils, and you can mix the four cables in one order. A new distributor can start with a trial range, learn which cable moves, and reorder by part code. The shipment is small enough that your forwarder can usually place it as part of a consolidated load; ask for part-container rates.
Selling through the local trade
Most buyers in this region are importers and stockists who sell on to lift companies and CCTV installers. We help you size the first order from your customers’ jobs, and we can print your requirement on the jacket for larger quantities. Send the number of lifts you expect to serve and the camera types.
Modernisation and retrofit
Many cameras go into lifts that are already running. The flat cable is installed on the existing travelling cable bracket and fixed with cushioned clamps, and the camera is cabled from the junction box in the fixed section. The guides on this site walk through the install in order, so your installers have a reference.
Import rules, early
Some countries ask for a pre-shipment conformity certificate or inspection for some goods, for example Kenya’s PVoC or Nigeria’s SONCAP. Tell us in the first enquiry if your country does. We will confirm whether and how we can support it before you pay, and we supply the invoice, packing list and test reports that such programmes ask for.

Africa: common questions
Can a distributor in Africa start with a small order?
Yes. The minimum is 1,000 m per order, about six 180 m coils, and you can mix the four cables in one order. Reorder by part code once you see which cables your customers use.
Does your cable need a pre-shipment conformity certificate for my country?
That depends on the country and the product. Tell us your destination and your clearing agent’s requirement in the first enquiry. We confirm what we can supply, and what we cannot, before you place the order.
How do I ship a small order from Mumbai?
On FOB terms we load at Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, and your freight forwarder books the freight to your discharge port; on EXW terms they collect from us in India. A 1,000 m order is small, so ask your forwarder for part-container rates.
Tell us the cable, the quantity and the port.
The minimum export order is 1,000 m (about six 180 m coils). We reply with part codes, coils, packing, lead time and the documents we will supply. Prices follow the copper rate, so they are quoted per order.
